X-keys® Foot Pedal Transcription Tutorial

Here's a quick tutorial to help you get started using Macroworks II with your preferred transcription software or WinAmp Media Player.

Begin by moving the programming switch into the programming position.

On the X–keys Foot Pedal, a slide switch on the circuit board, under the center pedal serves as the programming switch. Carefully pry the center pedal up until you can see the circuit board. The switch is to the left of green and red LED indicators.

The switch is in “Operating Position” when it is to the left, and in “Programming Position” when it is to the right.

Use a non-conductive implement (a popsicle stick or coffee stirrer for example) to change the position of the switch if required.

Once the programming switch is moved into the programming position the Macro Works II X-keys Foot Pedal should open.

Next press the left pedal on your X-keys Foot Pedal device to begin programming it. The Record/Edit Macro window should open.

Select the Insert Menu and go to Custom Command > WinAmp > Rewind

Press the “OK” button or press the left pedal on your X-keys Foot Pedal device to finish programming the left pedal.
