Programming with Macro Works

This is a basic tutorial to help you get started. Advanced features in Macro Works are explained here: macroworksadvance.php

Launching Macro Works

Launch Macro Maker from
• the desktop shortcut
• the X-keys directory in your Programs folder
• or from the programming switch on your X-keys.

Programming a Key

Select a key or control by right-clicking on it.

Select the type of action you wish to program.

For most applications, this will be the “Create/Edit Macro” selection.

The “Create/Edit Macro” option opens a new window.

Enter a comment or name for your macro

Click the “Start” button

Type your key combination or series of keystrokes

To end recording of the macro, click the “Stop” button

Click the “OK” button

Save your X-keys Profile

When you are finished programming, select the “Save” in the file menu or click the Save icon.

If this is a new profile, you will be prompted to “Assign to Device” before closing Macro Maker.
